1. Max has a thing for red heads...Ariel and Princess Fiona top his list...
2. Max has a funny raspy voice that he uses when he talks to our dog Belle and when he's 'mad.'
3. Max is very particular. He wants the red swing vs. the yellow swing at the park. He wants the Cookie Monster undies vs. the Super Grover undies. He wants "Goofy in Training" episode of Micky Mouse Clubhouse vs. "Little Red Bird" episode. A very particular boy indeed.
4. Max wants to stand up to go potty vs. sit down. (I have since become very familiar with the area around our toilets...Thank you, Clorox Wipes.)
5. Max loves his baby sister very much. He wants to look at her, kiss her, hold her, go check on her and particularly when she is sleeping.
1. Katie is a smile-y baby. She will smile at anyone who makes direct eye contact with her.
2. Katie is a nearly 5- month old baby, yet she is wearing 9 month clothing.
3. Katie is teething. She will shove anything into her mouth - anything but a pacifier - pacifiers must be poison in her mind.
4. Katie eats and sleeps. It is wonderful. She will nurse and nurse and nurse some more, but then she will sleep for hours and hours and hours. It is wonderful...oh wait, did I already mention that?
5. Katie has had dark hair, but now is growing blond hair. The dark stuff is falling out and soft white blond hair is coming in. Cute stuff!

Nana's Beach...
This morning started with a box full of donuts. Luckily (or not), there is a Dunkin' Donuts about a block from Nana's house...so Max, Nana and Daddy walked down to pick out the donuts for our breakfast. After we gorged on chocolate and sprinkles, Max and I took a walk along through New London and looked at all of the beautiful sail boats out on the water.

The weather report predicted a cloudy, overcast day, so we though we'd have to forgo the beach and find some sort of indoor activity to occupy our time. Nana and Max decided to hit the beach before the rain. Suddenly the clouds cleared and the sky was bright blue, so Chris and I packed a lunch and headed down to the beach with Katie.

Saturday in Stonington
After a very long time in the car, we finally made it to Nana's late Friday evening. Saturday morning we went to Noah's for breakfast. Our table was full of delicious food...pancakes, french toast, bacon, sausage, and an omelette and of course plenty of coffee! We walked around the Borough of Stonington, hit the farmers' market (complete with a stand full of fresh scallops - something we don't see at our market in Indy!) and a nearby playground.

We headed back to Nana's and took naps. Max was wiped out and slept for over 3 hours. Katie took the opportunity to have our undivided attention and rolled over for the first time!

Nana gave Katie a bath in her kitchen sink...there's nothing better than a baby and bubbles! She loved it (and by she I mean Nana!)
